Description

Gutturnio is the most typical Piacenza wine and it can be vinified and bottled only in our area. This wine dates back to the Roman Empire as its name derives from an engraving on a wine cup fond on the river Po banks near Piacenza, precisely “Gutturnium”. D.O.C. Colli Piacentini in 1967, from 2011 it has its own specific Denominazione di Origine.

Winemaking

red vinification of 7-12 days skin contact depending on the vintage. One-half ages for 4-6 months in different capacity Slavonia oak casks, the other matures in steel. Release after April.
