Anacleto Bonelli founded the winery in the mid 40’s beginning a lineage of three generations who are leading what now is a benchmark Colli Piacentini winery. He created one of the most well known white wines of the D.O.C. Colli Piacentini, the Trebbianino Val Trebbia.
Our winery is a mix of tradition and technology. Every year we vinify our estate grapes and a large amount of other viticulturists grapes chosen after the check directly in the vineyard to have a better control of our production. In the 1970’s we purchased the first autoclaves for Charmat method of sparkling wine production. At present our refrigeration units allow us to keep the must and have fruity and fresh wines throughout the year. The still wines red vinification ends with the aging in barrels.
Fabio Bernizzoni, agronomist and collaborator of the Istituto di Frutti-Viticoltura of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Piacenza since 2002, is our consultant since 2012. We defined and shared with him the agricultural and technical choices in order to enhance the territory and its grapes.
Moreover, we are creating a sustainability protocol to reduce the environmental impact of wine making, with a direct control on the supply chain and organizing educational events for all the actors involved. His contribution eventually offers us support during the harvesting period.
