Due Querce is our hillside vineyard in Carpaneto piacentino, so called for the two centuries-old oaks on its skyline. We purchased it in 1996 and we started a specific production in 1997 excellent vintage creating two IGT Terre di Veleja. Due Querce is a 14-hectare vineyard where we grow Malvasia, Ortrugo and Chardonnay (4,5 ha) Barbera, Bonarda and Merlot (9,5 Ha). The training system is the single Guyot. The area's climate and soil combine to produce the perfect environment to yield perfectly ripened grapes. The philosophy for our estate wines is that the best wine is produced in the vineyard. Our viticultural practices, maintain low yields, employ hand harvesting while the sugar, acid and taste are all in optimum balance. This allows our unique terroir to show through in each vintage. |
